Parklands Hospital is one of the sites operated by Southern Health NHS at Basingstoke and offers facilities for acute mental health needs.
The new Cherry ward is an 18-bed acute mental health facility and was completed in July 2021. ATS were involved with the supply of door-sets, ironmongery and screens with many special anti-ligature features to increase patient safety and security.
Some of these features included:
- Anti-barricade locksets with multiple override functions
- Door top ligature monitors to patient bedrooms
- Emergency release stops to allow outward opening of doors
- Privacy Vision Panels with secure key operation
- Bespoke glazed screens with specialist glass for fire safety and security
